 In a column shared by the renowned Author states "I am excited to present the inaugural Aso Oke beachwear in history, a design I created myself. This garment is crafted entirely from Aso Oke, a fabric woven in my home country of Nigeria, specifically in the rural community of Iseyin, Oyo State. The lightweight nature of this material makes it ideal for beach outings, allowing you to maintain a stylish appearance while minimizing sun exposure. Its breathable quality ensures comfort, enabling air circulation to keep you cool.

Aso Oke, also referred to as Aso Ofi, has been a traditional attire of my Lukumi people in Nigeria for centuries, originally reserved for royalty and the elite. My goal is to break down these class barriers by supporting the production of affordable Aso Oke fabrics.

This initiative is not driven by profit; it is a heartfelt tribute to Lukumi culture. I encourage individuals around the globe to embrace this organic, eco-friendly, and culturally rich alternative to conventional beachwear. Beyond the beach, this design can also serve as a stylish casual outfit for the spring and summer, allowing you to embody the elegance of a Lukumi Yoruba, known for their vibrant spirit.
